Terms

• Families join by invitation only. Hometown invites parents, and athletes it has confirmed are 13 or older. Hometown’s owner adds staff accounts directly.
• Each person should have their own account. Keep your sign-in to yourself.
• Tell Hometown if you think someone else has signed in as you.

• Your family chooses who can see each detail and whether to send the coach link. Hometown staff can also change who sees a detail, make a coach link, and lock a detail’s setting.
• Only add details that are true. Before you add one, check who can see it, because Hometown may have set that already.
• A coach link works for anyone who has it, including anyone it is forwarded to. Turn it off when you no longer want it used.
• Only a parent can turn on the public page. While it is on, anyone can open it and search engines can list it.

• Only send photos and video that you took or that you have permission to send.
• Hometown decides which submitted photos and video it uses in its work for your athlete and the program. You cannot remove one submitted file by itself, but deleting your account removes the photos and video you submitted. It does not remove another person’s uploads or Hometown’s separately created photos and film.
• Be respectful in replies, chats and messages, to Hometown staff, to other families and to people outside the program.

• Change who can see a portfolio detail, lock that setting, and turn off a coach link or a public page.
• Remove its own updates, along with the replies families sent to them, and archive a chat.
• Deactivate an athlete who leaves the program, and turn off an account that misuses the app.
• Change the app over time. Some features may change or stop.

You can request deletion of your own account from Settings. What happens when you delete it.
